This is La Piana - from June 2024, the olive farm in the Tuscan Maremma will be available for weekly rental. Look forward to a unique break.
THE MAREMMA
The Maremma, the large plain from the Gulf of Follonica to the Argentario peninsula and backed by the hilly mountains, is considered the original, authentic heart of Tuscany. Neither politics nor economics are of interest here - people are concerned with the weather, hunting, mushrooms or the upcoming harvest. A healthy, honest piece of earth that is accessible to all those who have an open heart for the landscape and people.
THE PLACE
La Piana is located below the small village of Sassofortino (GR) and is connected to it via gravel roads. Sassofortino and the neighboring communities offer a well-developed range of everyday needs as well as some very good restaurants and wineries. You can arrive by plane with scheduled connections to Rome, Florence or Pisa; private landings in Grosseto are also possible. By private car, the journey from Switzerland takes you via Milan / Parma / La Spezia, there are train connections to Florence or Grosseto.
THE ESTATE
La Piana is an estate owned by the registered company Olivino ssa. operated as an agriturismo. In addition to renting, Olivino produces first-class olive oil on the estate and cultivates cork and sweet chestnuts.
